TietoEnator acquires Parcomp’s entire share
capital from Partek
TietoEnator has acquired a hundred percent of the
shares in Parcomp Oy Ab on
Juridically, Parcomp will remain a separate company. However, the operations will be merged into TietoEnator’s units during the year 2002. In conjunction with this acquisition, 74 Parcomp employees working in Parcomp’s thirteen offices will be transferred to TietoEnator as former employees.
- Parcomp is an excellent company and its operations have been profitable. However, Partek has increasingly developed into an engineering company and we will continue to focus on our core business. Through the combination of the customer and service expertise of the existing Parcomp and TietoEnator, we obtain an entity in which IT services and the development thereof can be carried out more efficiently both for us and for Parcomp’s other customers, says Kari Heinistö, Senior Executive Vice President of Partek.
- The acquisition of Parcomp is part of our customer strategy with Partek. With this action, we can deepen the partnership
with our long-standing customer. Simultaneously, TietoEnator acquires new
